Sacred Mala Beads

Handcrafted in Rishikesh. Blessed by the Ganges. Chosen with intention.

More than a necklace, a mala is a piece of ancient yogic tradition — created for meditation, intention and connection.
The Yutorizen Mala Collection is handcrafted in the spiritual heart of Rishikesh, India, where yoga, meditation and devotion have been woven into daily life for generations. Each mala is individually made by a small artisan family business, using carefully selected natural stones, sacred woods and traditional beads. Made slowly and by hand, no two pieces are quite the same. The subtle differences in the stones, markings and colours are part of their natural beauty and individuality.
From Rishikesh, with Blessings

Before beginning its journey to you, each Yutorizen mala is taken to the sacred Ma Ganga — the River Ganges — where it is dipped into the holy waters and blessed by a priest.

For centuries, the Ganges has held profound spiritual significance in India and is regarded as a sacred river of purification, renewal and divine grace.  This beautiful ritual gives each mala another layer to its story — passing from the hands of its maker, through the sacred waters of Rishikesh, before eventually finding the person who will make it their own.

The Sacred Number 108
Each traditional mala is created with 108 beads, a number deeply rooted in yoga, meditation and Indian spiritual philosophy.  For generations, malas have been used during japa meditation, where a mantra, affirmation or sacred sound is repeated while gently moving through the beads one by one.  The mala becomes a tactile anchor for the practice — helping to quieten distraction, steady the mind and return awareness to breath, intention and the present moment.

You do not, however, need to have an established meditation practice to wear or appreciate a mala. It can simply become a personal reminder of an intention, a quality you wish to cultivate, or something meaningful you want to carry with you.

Find the Mala That Speaks to You
Every mala in our collection has its own character.

The stones, woods and sacred elements used within each piece have been traditionally associated with different qualities — from grounding, courage and protection to serenity, intuition, balance, compassion and spiritual connection.

Take your time.

Explore the different malas and discover the meanings associated with their stones. You may be drawn to a particular colour, texture or combination before you even know its meaning — or you may prefer to choose according to the qualities you would like to invite more deeply into your life.

There is no right or wrong way to choose.
Sometimes, the mala that catches your attention is simply the one worth exploring.
Made with Intention. Chosen with Meaning.
Every Yutorizen mala carries a journey within it:

Handcrafted by artisans in Rishikesh.
Created with 108 traditional beads.
Made with natural stones, woods and sacred elements.
Dipped in the waters of Ma Ganga.
Blessed by a priest.
And individually made — so your mala is uniquely yours.

Whether worn as a necklace, held during meditation or kept somewhere sacred to you, we hope your mala becomes more than something beautiful.

A companion for your practice.

A reminder of your intention.
And a little piece of Rishikesh to carry with you.
